ArchiLAB

MONTHLY

Your professional Development is important to us, so we conduct monthly CPD presentations to continually ensure your skills are being sharpened. 

ArchiCAD TRAINING

EVERY MONDAY, 9:30AM

Each Monday at 9.30am join ArchiCAD training to learn all aspects of the software from our BIM Manager.

Team Meetings

WEEKLY

Your Associate or Team Leader will conduct a weekly team meeting to discuss project updates and any other team matters.

NETWORKING EVENTS

We often are invited to industry events and will share these in the PBD group chat. Feel free to share any you think the team may want to attend!

ANNUAL TENNIS TOURNAMENT!

PBD host an annual tennis tournament fundraiser for Beyond Blue each year. Staff are encouraged to attend and play in the tournament. Our clients and suppliers join the day and is a great networking opportunity while also supporting an invaluable cause.

8:00am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday

To access the building after hours, on weekends or public holidays, a security code may be issued by the Office Manager.

 

If you are the first or last....

Please be sure to turn on/off all lights and arm/disarm the alarm. The code is 1980.

Seating is not permanently allocated and you may be required to relocate from time to time, to suit project team needs.

We communicate internally through Microsoft Teams. You will be invited to your team chats by your Team Leader or the Office Manager. External calls can be made via Microsoft Teams. To receive external calls they will come through to the Office Manager who will transfer the call to you via Microsoft Teams.


housekeeping

Our cleaners visit three (3) times per week in the evenings. However, we all contribute toward keeping our premises clean and tidy — particularly shared spaces and those areas to which clients have access. Please notify the Office Manger if you notice any low stock items.


Emergency Evacuation Procedures + Occupational Health and Safety

We have emergency evacuation procedures in place to ensure an orderly evacuation from premises should it become necessary. We ask that you familiarise yourself with the emergency exits and procedures displayed in the workplace. If you are injured during working hours you must report the injury to your Manager, and you may be required to complete a Hazard/Injury Report Form.

let’s get you paid

SETTING YOU UP IN THE SYSTEM

On day one the Office Manager will send your your tax, super and employee detail forms. These need to be completed and returned to the Office and General Manager.

PAY

We have a fortnightly pay cycle that occurs on Tuesday. Your team leader or colleague will run through how to submit your hours in Monograph. You should raise any pay queries with the General Manager.

TIMESHEETS

Accurately tracking your time is essential, and we ask that you log both billable and non-billable hours promptly—ideally by the end of each workday.

You’ll receive a login to our time sheeting software, Monograph, from the General Manager, and all your worked hours should be recorded there. Your total hours each week should match your regular working hours. 

EXPENSES

The company will reimburse you for any reasonable business expenses incurred by you, provided that we approved these expenses and that you provide us with receipts within a reasonable time. Please scan all receipts and send them to the General Manager. 

TRAVEL

The company will reimburse the cost of taxis or rideshare vehicles relating to a business meeting which is required to be held offsite and is not readily accessible by public transport. Ubers can also be booked by the Office Manager. Prior to leaving the office you must notify your Team Leader, Office Manager and General Manager. This must be done in writing via email.

YOUR LEAVE ENTITLEMENTS

ANNUAL LEAVE

Full-time employees are entitled to 4 weeks of paid annual leave for each year of service. Annual leave accrues progressively throughout the year and accumulates from year to year. Annual leave will cease to accrue during any period of unpaid leave, including unpaid parental leave. Annual leave should be taken at times mutually agreed by you and your Manager.

If you would like to apply for annual leave, please notify your Manager in writing and put through a formal request through Xero for the General Manager to approve. For planning purposes, we require that you provide at least 4 weeks’ notice of your intention to take annual leave.

SICK LEAVE

If you are unable to come to work due to illness or injury, you or another person on your behalf must notify your Manager. This must be done as soon as reasonably practicable on the first day of absence; and on every day of absence, until your period of leave is covered by a doctor’s medical certificate. You may be asked to provide a medical certificate if more than two (2) consecutive days or more.
