The architectural response called for more than aesthetics—it demanded resilience. Our design approach embraced this challenge, weaving together soft elegance with robust functionality to meet the demands of a harsh climate, without compromising on beauty.
At the heart of the design lies a careful balance between durability and delicacy. A restrained, tactile palette of natural brickwork, masonry banding, and timber tones grounds the structure in its coastal context, while the materials’ ability to respond to shifting light adds a subtle softness to the façade.
The building’s expansive double-height ceilings—rising up to 6 metres—were thoughtfully crafted to maintain human scale and invite a sense of calm. These soaring spaces offer grandeur without overwhelming, creating interiors that feel both uplifting and intimate.

Climate-Conscious, Comfort-Focused
The architectural narrative remains sensitive to the site's environmental conditions. Rather than resist the climate, the design works with it—creating shaded, breezy spaces that offer natural comfort year-round. From thermal mass to cross ventilation, every detail is purpose-driven and climate-aware.
Connection to nature is central to the architectural experience. High-lintel glazing and generous terraces blur the boundaries between inside and out, turning interior living spaces into fluid extensions of the surrounding environment. Shaded balconies soften the sun’s intensity while encouraging daily engagement with the outdoors, reinforcing the building’s strong environmental response.
A Timeless Character with Art Deco Undertones
Beneath its modern restraint, the architecture carries a nostalgic elegance—a quiet nod to Art Deco influences through its proportions, curves, and carefully chosen materials. The focus on tactile surfaces and rhythmic detailing brings a warmth and timelessness to the experience of the space.
Despite the environmental rigour, the result is a place of serenity. A home defined by softness, strength, and a seamless integration of beauty and function. It is architecture that not only endures the elements but celebrates them—embracing the Egyptian lifestyle.
