FARR ST

The development of 41 apartments featuring curved, splayed balconies and general vertical building proportions which assist in tying the building façade together into cohesive groups, strong presence of brick facades and clear articulation.

Considering the materiality of the existing neighbourhood and new developments the proposal features brick facades with balconies that stand out due to the splayed slab edge, both on different materials to contrast and create visual interest. Metal elements such as batten cladding on the balcony slab edge provide privacy, and a dark metal cladding to the top level provides a recessive perception.

The colour and material selections have been made to create transitions between inside and outside and allowing the development to add value to its surrounding neighbourhood.
